One of the most exciting prospects for our business is the Heizhuanghu Market place. We have acquired a cold store space of 2000sqm at the market which will provide us with a greater capacity and outlet than ever.
Due to be completed by the end of the year the Heizhuanghu Market will be Asia’s largest fresh produce market. Located in Heizhuanghu which sits just outside the fifth ring road in the southeast of Chaoyang district, Beijing. The market is set to be positioned as the primary citywide distribution hub for agricultural products. However, it also has the potential to service a number of other major areas. Heizhuanghu lies very close to the Tonglu Road and between the arteries connecting Beijing to Tianjin, Shanghai and Harbin.
The total area of the market is 616,000sqm. 332,000sqm above ground and 284,000sqm underneath, and over 4000car parks. The circulation centre occupied 166,000sqm of this space. The fresh agricultural products circulation center is divided into five areas: display and trade, tally and distribution, emergency reserve, data center, and smart business district. The data center area is a unified information platform for production, supply, marketing of businesses, traffic, logistics, and capital flows in the park. Smart business district is mainly used for supporting services and commercial offices.
It is expected that the volume of goods passing through the market will exceed eight million tons per year. Trade volume is estimated at one hundred billion yuan per year.
